The project began in early 2020.
The development of the TE37 SAGA S-plus was on track and successfully completed bench testing. Following actual road tests and a victory in that year's Super Taikyu 24-Hour Race, development of the SAGA SL began in earnest. While
the SAGA S-plus was designed and developed with a wide range of vehicle compatibility in mind, the original SL wheel was designed to be "lighter than the original wheel," feature a TE37 racing concave, and feature a diamond-cut black clear finish that highlights the SL's signature lightweighting. The only unfortunate thing is that our commitment to this approach limits the number of vehicles it can be fitted to.
However, we believe we have achieved the "dauntlessness," "unique character," and "new performance" that can be felt with the SAGA SL. There is meaning and significance in remaking the TE37 SL. This is because the SL's unique approach always seeks unparalleled strength and lightness. Don't be fooled by the idea of "strength and lightness." Because only those who truly deserve to be called so can be allowed to say so.
